Essence new products S/S 15

Yes, the spring/summer season is settling in at Essence and you can already find new products available on stores! I have some of them: nail polishes, lipsticks, a blush and a couple of things for the eyes. They're all new except the mono eyeshadow, but let me show you them one by one.

//Sí, la primavera/verano ya se está instalando en Essence y ya se pueden encontrar sus nuevos productos en las tiendas! Yo tengo algunos de ellos: lacas de uñas, labiales, un colorete y un par de cosas para los ojos. Son todos nuevos excepto la sombra de ojos mono, pero mejor os los voy enseñando uno a uno.//

I have 2 lip glosses and 2 lipsticks. The lip glosses are nude and are joining the family of popular XXXL lipglosses. This new nude range is available in 6 soft shades, mine are the 01 Shy Beauty (the light pink) and 03 Taste the Sweets (the dark pink), both create a fresh look perfect for every occasion.
The lipsticks are also nude, one of the biggest trend of the new season by Essence. Their bestselling lipsticks are now available in 5 nude shades too, I have the 01 Wearing only a Smile (light) and 03 Come Naturally (dark), both have a creamy texture but I like 03 better than 01.

//Tengo dos lip gloss y dos lápices de labios. Los labiales (gloss) son nude y se unen a la popular familia XXXL lipgloss. Esta nueva gama nude está disponible en 6 tonos suaves, los míos son el 01 Shy Beauty (el rosa claro) y 03 Taste de Sweets (el oscuro), los dos crean un look fresco perfecto para cada ocasión.
Los lápices de labios son también nude, una de las grandes tendencias de esta temporada en Essence. Sus lápices de labios más vendidos están ahora también disponibles en 5 tonos nude. Yo tengo el 01 Wearing only a Smile (el claro) y 03 Come Naturally (oscuro), los dos tienen una textura cremosa pero me gusta más el 03 que el 01 por el color.//

Many nail polishes are also new on stores and of course The Nudes must me among them. As you can see I have 2 from this collection, one in pink (07 hope for love) and one in nearly white (05 pure soul), but there are 10 more colours you can buy.
You can find the most variety of colours in The Gel Nail Polish collection: 46 colours! I have 3: 11 Forever Young (red), 25 Prince Charming (green) and 04 Our Sweetest Day (very light shiny beige). They're supposed to be long-lasting and provide a gel finish. What I don't like about them is that they're very liquid and make the application a bit difficult. And the same happens with The Nudes.
A base coat and a top coat are also among the new products. Their formula improves the durability of "The Gel Nail Polish" collection by 60% without the need for a LED or UV lamp. I like specially the top coat, it drys very quickly and leaves a great finish.

//Hay muchas nuevas lacas de uñas de Essence en las tiendas y por supuesto The Nudes no pueden faltar entre ellas. Como veis yo tengo dos de esa colección, una en rosa (07 Hope for Love) y otra en casi blanco (05 Pure Soul), pero hay 10 colores más.
La gama de colores más amplia la podéis encontrar en la colección The Gel Nail Polish: 46 colores! Yo tengo 3: el 11 Forever Young (rojo), 25 Prince Charming (verde) y el 04 Our Sweetest Day (beige muy suave brillante). Se supone que son de larga duración y aportan un acabado gel. Lo que no me gusta es que son muy líquidos por lo que se desparraman completamente y hace la aplicación difícil. Lo mismo pasa con los The Nudes.
Una base y un top coat también se encuentran entre los nuevos productos. Su fórmula mejora la durabilidad de la colección "The Nail Polish" en un 60% sin necesidad de lámparas LED o UV. Me gusta sobre todo el top coat, se seca rápido y deja un bonito acabado.//

There're also new things for the eyes: mascaras, eyeliners, eyeshadows... I have the Lash Princess false lash effect mascara, which belongs to the Lash Princess family and the brush is slightly bent.
The Easy 2 Use eyeliner pen is supposed to be very accurate and easy to apply thanks to the innovative brush tip. It's only available in black.
The mono eyeshadow is a relauch, the design and the texture have been improved making it easier to apply and blend. They're available in 19 colours (mine is 15 hazel me not!) with different effects (matt, shimmering, slightly metallic...).
And the last product is the Silky Touch Blush, this is actually not new, only the colour is new (90 summer dreaming) a pastel coral which joins the other 5 shades.

//También hay cositas nuevas para los ojos: máscaras, eyeliners, sombras... Tengo la máscara Lash Princess false lash effect, que pertenece a la familia Lash Princess y tiene un cepillo ligeramente ladeado.
El eyeliner Easy 2 Use se supone que es muy preciso y fácil de aplicar gracias a su punta innovadora. Sólo está disponible en negro.
La sombra de ojos mono en realidad se ha relanzado, no es nueva. Su diseño y su textura se han mejorado para hacer más fácil su aplicación y el difuminado. Está disponible en 19 colores (el mío es 15 Hazel me not!) con diferentes efectos (mate, brillante, ligeramente metálico...).
Y el último producto es el Silky Touch Blush, este colorete no es nuevo del todo, sólo lo es el color (90 Summer Dreaming), un coral pastel que se une a los otros 5 tonos.//

New in: Laura Mercier

I'm back again! I was abroad celebrating Christmas with my family in Spain and sadly I wasn't able to write, I didn't have time. Anyway I hope you had wonderful holidays!
Now it's time to show you new products again, like these 2 makeup things by Laura Mercier: a lipstick and a mascara.

//¡Ya estoy de vuelta! He estado fuera celebrando las Navidades con mi familia en España y desgraciadamente no pude escribir, apenas tuve tiempo. De todas maneras espero que hayais pasado unas fiestas geniales!
Pero ahora es el momento de volver a enseñaros nuevos productos, como estos dos de maquillaje de Laura Mercier: un labial y una máscara de pestañas.//

I've been using this Laura Mercier Full Blown Volume Suprême mascara for almost the whole Christmas, time enough to confirm that it's a great mascara. It hasn't the type of brush I normally like to use, this one is more classic, anyway the bristles are short and perfectly placed on the brush so that they apply the right amount of product, leaving the lashes shiny, soft and clump-free all day long.
I love the formula, it lengthens and thickens with just one stroke, gives intensive color, leaves no clumps, it's waterproof and lasts for 8-10 hours. I can truly confirm that, I've used it the whole day without problem. You can only buy it in black because Laura Mercier thinks that black gives the best definition with the least amount of product, anyway I only buy black mascaras so I find it perfect. By the way, it's suitable for sensitive eyes and safe for contact lens wearers.

//He estado usando esta máscara de pestañas Full Blown Volume Suprème de Laura Mercier durante casi todas las Navidades, tiempo suficiente para poder decir que es una gran máscara. No tiene el tipo de cepillo que suelo usar, este es más clásico, pero las cerdas son cortitas y perfectamente colocadas para aportar la cantidad exacta de producto, dejando las pestañas brillantes, suaves y sin grumos durante todo el día. Me encanta su fórmula, alarga y espesa con una sola pasada, da color intenso, no deja grumos, es waterproof y dura 8-10 horas, algo que puedo confirmar pues la he llevado puesta durante todo el día sin problemas. Sólo se puede comprar en color negro ya que Laura Mercier opina que el negro aporta la mejor definición con la menor cantidad de producto, pero bueno yo sólo tengo máscaras negras así que a mí me parece bien. Por cierto, es apta para ojos sensibles y para quienes usan lentillas como yo.//

The Rouge Nouveau lip colour is the other product by Laura Mercier I've been using lately, that's actually the lipstick I chose for the New Year's Eve party. This is a 100% wax-free lip colour that delivers pure long lasting colour that lets the skin breathe and comforts it with hydration. The formula is weightless, it feels really comfortable on the lips.

//El labial Rouge Nouveau lip colour es el otro producto de Laura Mercier que he estado usando últimamente, es de hecho el labial que elegí para Nochevieja. Es un producto 100% libre de ceras que aporta color puro y duradero, deja respirar a la piel y la conforta con hidratación. La fórmula es muy ligera, apenas se nota en los labial y es comodísimo de llevar.//

It comes in 17 tones divided in 4 different finishes: matte (for velvety lips), sheer (for naturally stained lips), crème (for luminous creamy lips) and pearl (for pearlized lips). I have the shade Chic, which is a creamy reddish pink. Actually all the shade names begin with the same letter as their finish: M, S, C or P, (for example mine: Chic - Crème finish) easy to remember. It's suitable for all skin types, as I already said completely weightless on the lips and provide really intense and pure colour.

//Viene en 17 tonos divididos en 4 acabados diferentes: mate (para labios aterciopelados), sheer (puro, para unos labios naturales), crema (para labios cremosos y luminosos) y perla (para un acabado perlado). Yo tengo el tono Chic, un rosa rojizo y cremoso. Todos los nombres de los tonos comienzan con la letra de su acabado para recordarlo fácilmente: M, S, C y P (por ejemplo el mío es Chic - Cremoso). Son para todo tipo de pieles, como ya dije muy ligeros de llevar en los labios y aportan un color muy puro e intenso.//

Catrice Feathered Fall

Autumn is already here and now is time for new makeup looks, new tones and new collections, like this one: Catrice Feathered Fall. This limited edition offers feather-inspired beauty products in dark, iridescent and electric tones, which are available from now until the beginning of November.

//El otoño ya está aquí y con él llegan nuevos looks de maquillaje, nuevos tonos y nuevas colecciones, como la Feathered Fall de Catrice. Esta edición limitada trae productos con diseños inspirados en las plumas y con tonos oscuros, irisados y eléctricos. Está disponible desde ya hasta principios de Noviembre.//

I've had the chance to try a couple of the products, for example these 2 Sheer Lip Colours, one in a nude tone (C01 Plain plumage) and the other one in a mix of plum and aubergine (C03 Plum plumes). The nude lipstick doesn't give colour at all, it's more like a lip balm with a withish finish, I really don't like it. And the dark one is the same, it gives colour but not too much so it doesn't look so dark on the lips, again a mix of lipbalm and colour, anyway this one is much nicer than the nude. There's also another lipstick in red (C02 Red-y to fly), but I don't have it.

//He tenido la oportunidad de probar algunos de los productos de la colección como estos dos "Sheer Lip Colours", uno en tono nude (C01 Plain plumage) y el otro en una mezcla de ciruela y berenjena (C03 Plum plumes). El labial nude no da nada de color, es más como un bálsamo con un acabado blanquecino que no me gusta nada. Y el oscuro es lo mismo, da color pero no demasiado así que en los labios no se ve tan oscuro, es una mezcla entre bálsamo y lápiz de labios, aunque éste queda mucho más bonito que el nude. También hay otro en rojo (C02 Red-y to fly), pero yo no lo tengo.//

The collection also includes 4 eyeshadows: C01 Peacocktail, C02 Plum Plumes, C03 Ostrich's Frock and C04 Plain Plumage. Two of them are dark (C01 & C02) with a high pigmentation and quite iridescent, when applied both look very similar (dark and shiny), anyway one has more aubergine tones and the other green glitter. The other two are lighter, actually C04 is almost only shine and C03 is a brown shine. The 4 are nice but have too much glitter which is not something I love.

//La colección también incluye 4 sombras de ojos: C01 Peacocktail, C02 Plum Plumes, C03 Ostrich's Frock and C04 Plain Plumage. Dos de ellas son oscuras (C01 & C02) con mucha pigmentación y tirando a irisadas, una vez puestas se parecen mucho (oscuras y muy brillantes), sólo que una tira más a violeta y la otra a verde. Y las otras dos son más claritas, en realidad la C04 es más brillo que otra cosa, y la C03 es un brillo amarronado. Las cuatro son bonitas pero brillan demasiado para mi gusto.//

3 nail polishes also belong to the limited edition: C01 Golden plum-e, a shimmering mix of pink, brown and copper, C02 Peacocktail, a iridescent black, and C03 Skie's force, an electric green. The 3 look really nice on the nails, the shimmering and iridescent finish is great. My favourite is the one below (C01).

//A la colección también pertenecen 3 lacas de uñas: C01 Golden plum-e, una mezcla brillante de rosa, marrón y cobre, C02 Peacocktail, un negro irisado, and C03 Skie's force, un verde eléctrico. Las 3 quedan muy bien puestas, el acabado brillante e irisado es muy bonito, aunque mi favorito es el color de la foto de abajo (C01).//

Three more products (that I don't have) complete this collection: a liquid eyeliner in purple/blue, a lipgloss with soft golden pigments and a top coat in metallic greenish blue.

//Tres productos más (que yo no tengo) completan la colección: un eyeliner líquido en púrpura/azul, un lipgloss con suaves pigmentos dorados y un top coat en un azul verdoso metálico.//
